The Multicultural Academic Opportunities Program (MAOP) is an academic success community founded in 1993 upon the principles of self-help, mentoring, and peer support.
MAOP is committed to enhancing diversity of students in science, math, and technology disciplines at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Through partnerships with various departments at Virginia Tech, other college and university peers, governmental, private, and non-profit institutions MAOP participants are supported with academic guidance and financial support.

The Office of the Multicultural Academic Opportunities Program is located in 110 Femoyer Hall. Our business hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
